Biography

Dr. Adams earned her BS in Biology from Furman University, a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of South Carolina. Her research focuses on cancer disparities across the continuum from prevention and screening to diagnosis and survivorship.

Dr. Adams is a member of the Society for Epidemiologic Research, the American College of Sports Medicine, the Southern Nursing Research Society, the North American Association of Cancer Research, and the South Carolina Cancer Center-Junior Scientific.
